- Users can now connect Pylon as a source in Guru
- Guru's mobile app was sunset on December 19th. We've made significant improvements to our mobile site over the past few years - the user experience is superior to our mobile apps and that is where we will continue to make investments there.
- Users can now inherit permissions from Asana instead of establishing permissions in Guru. For existing Asana sources, users will need to re-sync the source to see this reflected.
- In the Agent Center you can now view complete chat conversations directly from any chat thread with the “View chat thread” button. Currently you can only see threads for your own chats, but in a future release Knowledge Agent owners will be able to see threads from Knowledge Agents they own.
- In order to focus efforts on new AI-native features, Public Cards functionality was sunset on December 1st. Any existing Public Card will continue to function and can be edited. Teams will no longer be able to make new Public Cards.
- Users can now use a color picker or hex input to set text and callout background colors.
- Users can now opt to search across the web (either the entire web or specific domains) within each Knowledge Agent.
- Users can now schedule cards to publish or archive at a specific Date/Time in the future. Set publish and archive dates on drafts or published cards, and Guru will handle the timing for you. Scheduled drafts appear in My Drafts, and scheduled archives appear in My Tasks.
- Previously, Guru's Gong source only surfaced the summary of the Gong Call. Now, the Gong Source will surface the entire transcript, meaning that you'll get even more robust responses. If you authenticated Gong with Guru prior to November 2025, you'll need to re-authenticate to pull the entire transcript.
- To encourage users to read the entirety of an announcement prior to marking it as "read," announcements will now require users to scroll to the bottom of the Card before clicking "I read it."
- Users can now open a side-by-side comparison of any draft to compare what's changed from the published version, with new or changed content highlighted in green. Perfect for reviewing edits before publishing or checking AI-drafted updates!
- We've deprecated the Manage > Activity Feed and legacy Ask an Expert features from Guru. These features had low usage, and this allow us to focus on improvements and new capabilities that will better support our customers and their needs.
- User can now restore a Card to a previous version directly from Card History.
- User can now chat directly from the search bar in Guru.
- Users can now connect Workday Help Articles as a Source.

- Users can search, research and ask questions directly from ChatGPT.
- Admins can now rename, rebrand and control the sources of the default Knowledge Agent.
- We’ve refreshed how card verification works! Verification status will now only update when you intentionally change it - no more unexpected shifts when editing collaborators or verifiers. This makes managing verification simpler, clearer, and more predictable.
- The source creator and owners of a source will now be notified when there's been 2 successive failures of a source sync, or when a source becomes invalid due to authentication issues.
- You can now instantly share answers with teammates using the new "Share Answer" button at the bottom of an Answer. It copies a link to the Answer in the AI Agent Center—no more copy/paste required!
- Collaborative editing for Pages will allow multiple Page authors to work on a single page at the same time. Users will see who else is in the draft and see their edits in real-time.
- When choosing files during Source setup, you can multi-select folders using CMD/CTRL+Click or Shift+Click.
- You can choose to sync entire drives rather than just folders within a drive.
- The selection interface has been improved, as well.
- Get AI Answers even faster than before!
- This permission allows management of membership and settings of all Groups across the Workspace.
- A new table view, more informative tiles, and better sync status visibility and more
- You can now rename many Sources and reauthorize Sources without deleting them. See Connecting and Managing Sources for AI Answers.
- Many available Sources now allow you to multi-select folders, drives, and files. For larger repositories, you can also leave the selection blank to sync everything your account has access to.
- You can now use Knowledge Agents to ask a question, search with Sources, and optionally pull content from up to 5 results—all within your Zaps.
- Now you can hover over an area to see the + icon to create a new block, as opposed to needing to click to find the icon.
- Duplicating a Page will create a new Page draft with all the content and styling of the existing Page, but will not inherit any of the permissions of the existing page. This allows teams to easily utilize existing Pages rather than starting from scratch when creating new Pages.
- When pasting a link to a Collection or Folder, you will be prompted to select how you'd like it to display (Title, Gallery, URL, List, Embed)
- Previously, the limit for Announcement text was 350 characters. Based on customer feedback, we have doubled it to 700 characters.
- Some teams previously encountered rate limit errors when connecting Confluence as a Source. We’ve implemented updates to increase data pull capacity and reduce those errors.
- If you experienced issues connecting Confluence before this update, we recommend removing the legacy Source and creating a new Source connection to benefit from the improvements. See Setting up Confluence as a Source.
- Prior to this update, some Page and subpage management was found under Manage > Pages. Now, Pages and subpages are created and managed in the left side of the Guru app. See: Customizing and Managing Pages in Guru.
- We’ve identified issues affecting the collaborative editing experience on pages (not Cards). As a result, we’ve decided to roll back the page editing experience to its previous version, which allowed individuals to work on their own drafts. We plan to reintroduce collaborative editing once the experience has been improved. (edit: as of mid-August, this is active again)
- Draft Card from Answer allows Authors to quickly turn a high-quality answer from a Knowledge Agent into a draft-ready Guru Card. See Creating a Card from an Answer.
- We've updated the name of "My Library" to "Saved and Following" to provide clarity on the feature's function
- Admins and Owners can reorder Pages
- Admins can clean up their left navigation by hiding Pages from their personal view
- Admins and Owners can change how Pages are nested
- Admins and Owners can expand and collapse Pages
- See Adjusting how Pages appear in the left navigation bar
- Multiple users can edit the same Page while it is in draft mode
- NOTE: This feature has been rolled back temporarily while we investigate an issue. This will be updated once it is released again.
- New name, new features!
- We've added the ability to archive questions.
- Filters in the AI Agent Center have been re-ordered so unanswered and flagged questions appear first.
- We briefly rolled out an update to the AI Agent Center that added the ability to "boost" specific Sources, which raised Sources in relevancy when the question was asked again. Based on customer feedback, we have rolled back this update and instead brought back the ability to remove Sources used for specific Answers. For steps, see: Editing a Suggested Answer.
- Sections of Cards and Pages now have links that can easily be copied and shared. When someone clicks the link, they'll be taken to that specific section. More info can be found in this article: Adding Content to Guru Cards.
- Answers will take the current date into account and will include this logic in the explanation. Depending on the type of Sources you have connected, try asking things like:
- What are my recent tickets?
- Where is the recent townhall deck?
- What's our current PTO policy?
- What happened in town hall last week?
- What bugs have been reported in the past month?
- What was our conversion rate in December 2023?
- Admins no longer need to connect specific folders. Guru will now sync all documents the authorized Google Drive account has access to—including content from shared drives.
- Assign ownership of Sources beyond Admins. With the new Source Owner role, Admins can delegate management responsibilities to other users.
- Similar to Sources, Admins can now assign others as Knowledge Agent Owners. This makes it easier for teams to manage and update their AI Assistants.
- Drop a link, and Guru makes it beautiful. Paste a Guru Card, profile, Google Doc, or external link and choose how it displays with the new popover unfurl experience.
- Admins can delegate control over Pages by assigning Page Owners. Ownership can go to individuals or Groups.
