Setting up Monday as a Source

Use this guide to connect your Monday.com boards to Guru as a content source. Once connected, Guru will pull structured data from your Monday.com boards to power Answers across your workspace.

Access Required

Guru Access: You must be a Workspace Admin in Guru to connect Monday.com as a source.

Monday.com Access: You must have access to the boards and groups in Monday.com you intend to connect. Guru will authorize via OAuth and request permission to read board data.


Setting Up Monday as a Source

  1. Navigate to Manage in your Guru dashboard.
  2. Click on the Sources tab, then select Add Source.
  3. From the list of available sources, select Monday.com.
  4. You will be redirected to log in to your Monday.com account.
  5. Authorize Monday via OAuth to grant access to your account.
  6. After successful authentication, youโ€™ll be prompted to:
    1. Select the Boards youโ€™d like to sync.
    2. Choose specific Groups (tables) within those Boards.
  7. Choose which Guru Groups should have access to this source.
  8. Click Connect to finalize the integration.

Objects Synced from Monday

Guru pulls structured data from Groups (tables) on Boards in Monday.com. Each Group's items are treated as discrete objects for Answer generation.

Note

Only boards visible to the authenticating user will appear in the selection modal. If you'd like to include private boards, ensure they are shared with your connected user.


Permissions

  • When you connect Monday.com as a source in Guru, you'll permission that content in Guru. Learn more here.
  • If someone is not provided with access in Guru to this source, they will not see Monday.com results in searches or when chatting with Guru.

Frequently asked questions about Monday

Can I select private boards? Only boards the authenticated user has access to will appear. To include private boards, ensure they are shared appropriately.

Can I limit content to a specific group or column? You can select specific groups (tables) on a board, but all items within that group will be synced.

Is there a limit to how many boards I can connect? Guru currently supports connecting multiple boards, but the selection interface is limited to the first 25 visible boards.
