Setting up Coda Pages as a Source
Coda Pages integration allows you to connect your Coda documents and pages as a source in Guru. Once connected, Guru syncs content from your Coda workspace and includes it in Answers, making it possible to get responses from your Coda docs directly within Guru without switching contexts.
Access RequiredGuru Access: You need to be an Admin, Source Creator, or relevant custom role to set up Sources
Coda Access: The authenticating user must have access to the Coda workspace and associated Documents and Pages. You'll need to generate an API key (Bearer Token) from your Coda account.
Setup uses an API Key (Bearer Token) for authentication. What gets synced depends on the customerโs Coda plan:
- Enterprise plan: Guru syncs Documents, Pages, Permissions, Users, and Groups. Permissions are inherited from Coda automatically.
- Free, Pro, Team plans: Guru syncs Documents and Pages. Permissions must be configured manually in Guru after setup.
Setting up Coda Pages as a source

- Select Sources, then click Add Source.

Permissions
When setting up Coda Pages you can either establish permissions in Guru, or inherit them from Coda directly.
Inherited Permissions
- Only available for Coda Enterprise plan customers. If you're on an Enterprise plan, permissions are inherited automatically from Coda. The authenticating user will first define the scope of content that will be synced based on what they have access to, and others' access within that will be respected.
Setting up Permissions in Guru
- For Free, Pro, and Team plan customers, you must set up permissions manually in Guru. Learn more here. If someone is not provided with access in Guru to this source, they will not see Coda Pages results in searches or when chatting with Guru.
