Using Guru's Email Add-Ins

Guru's Email Add-Ins bring your team's knowledge directly into your inbox, making it easy to access and share trusted information while composing or replying to emails.


Installing Guru for Outlook

Outlook Web App

  1. Sign in at Outlook.com.
  2. In the left-hand toolbar, click More apps, then select Add apps.
  3. In the search bar, type Guru and select Guru for Outlook from the results.
  4. Click Add to install the add-in.
  5. When composing or replying to an email, you’ll see the green Guru button—click it to launch the add-in.
  6. Log in using your Guru credentials.

Outlook Desktop App

  1. In the Outlook desktop app, go to the Tools menu and click Get Add-ins.
  2. Search for Guru, then click Add to install the add-in.
  3. Agree to the license terms and privacy policy by clicking Continue.
  4. Once installed, click the Guru button from your toolbar.
  5. Log in and verify your Guru account using the code provided.

Installing Guru for Gmail

Individual Installation

  1. Visit Guru’s listing on the Google Workspace Marketplace.
  2. Click Install and follow the prompts to complete setup.
  3. Reload Gmail and look for the Guru icon in the right-hand sidebar.
  4. Click the Guru icon and follow the prompts to log in or sign up.

Google Workspace Admin Bulk Install

  1. Go to your Google Workspace Admin console.
  2. Navigate to Apps > Marketplace Apps.
  3. Search for Guru and select the Guru marketplace app.
  4. Click Edit Service in the top-right corner.
  5. Choose to turn the add-in On for everyone or limit it to specific organizational units.

Admin installation ensures that all designated users in your Google Workspace domain automatically gain access to the Guru add-on.
