January 2026

Knowledge Agents Now Maintain Quality Automatically

Knowledge Agents have always connected your company's knowledge. Now they actively maintain it - automatically verifying content across all your sources, not just Guru Cards.

What's new:

Automated verification at scale

  • Knowledge Agents can now automatically verify and unverify content across all connected sources using usage signals, engagement patterns, and AI analysis
    • New Knowledge Agents created after January 14, 2026 have auto-verify enabled by default (existing Agents require manual opt-in)
  • Test verification decisions directly on Cards to see how your Agent would evaluate content
  • Monitor all Agent verification activity in the new Quality Log in the AI Agent Center

Verification for all sources

  • All external sources - Google Drive, Confluence, SharePoint, and more - can now be verified, not just Guru Cards. One verification status per source applies across all Knowledge Agents using that content

Flexible verification windows

  • Cards can now be set to "never expire" for evergreen content. Knowledge Agents can still verify/unverify this content based on usage signals and defined rules
    • New Collections default to "does not expire" (existing Cards maintain their current intervals)

Intelligence and insights

  • Query your AI Agent Center data in chat or research mode to understand trends, identify knowledge gaps, and measure automation ROI. Ask questions like "What flagged questions came up this week?" or "What are the top unanswered questions from my organization?"

Salesforce Knowledge as a Source

  • Users can now connect Salesforce Knowledge as a source in Guru

Historic /boards API endpoint has been sunset

  • The legacy /boards API endpoint has been deprecated and is no longer supported.

In 2022, Boards were replaced by Folders as part of an update to our content model. Because /boards predates this change, it does not reflect the current folder structure and may return incomplete results. The endpoint has now been fully sunset to ensure accuracy and compatibility.

Action needed if you were calling this endpoint: Update any existing integrations to use the /folders endpoint, which is fully supported and reflects how content is organized today.

Filtering Sources in Knowledge Agents

  • This release offers two filtering improvements to Knowledge Agents:
    • Content utilized by a Knowledge Agents can now be filtered by date, so only documents that fall within a certain date period are utilized by the Knowledge Agent.
    • Collections added to Knowledge Agent can now be filtered down to specific folders so only content from a specific folder within a collection is utilized.
