Canceling your GetGuru Subscription
If you're considering canceling your Guru subscription, here’s everything you need to know to ensure a smooth offboarding experience.
Access RequiredOnly Guru Admins can cancel an entire workspace.
If you want to be removed from a workspace, contact your workspace Admin or person with a relevant custom role.
NotePlease confirm you are using Guru, the knowledge management platform. We are not affiliated with Guru.com, Number Guru (numberguru.com), or PDF Guru (PDFguru.com).
How to cancel your Guru workspace
To cancel your subscription:
- Notify Guru in writing at least 15 days before your monthly or annual renewal date.
If you are on an annual plan and past your renewal date: Our Terms of Service note that if no cancellation request is submitted prior to your renewal date, you'll auto-renew on the same terms as your previous subscription, and also that all fees are committed amounts and are non-refundable. We can not process any refunds.

Situations and next steps
For workspaces created by accident
- Created a new workspace instead of joining your team's?
Contact Guru Support to request cancellation. - To join the correct workspace, ask your Admin or person with a relevant custom role to follow the instructions in Inviting users.
For workspaces in a free trial
- If you see the "# trial days left" message at the bottom of the Guru web app,
Contact Guru Support to cancel your trial. - Our team will follow up when cancellation is complete.
For workspaces with an active subscription
- If you do not see the "# trial days left" message, your workspace is on a paid plan.
Please Contact Guru Support and include your:- Email address
- Company name
- You'll be asked to complete a short cancellation survey.
- Cancellation must be requested in writing at least 30 days before your renewal date, as stated in our Terms of Service.
What happens after cancellation?
Once your workspace is deleted:
- All users lose access to Guru.
- Guru will retain your workspace data for 90 days post-cancellation.
- After 90 days, your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Steps to ensure a smooth offboarding

Export your content before cancellation:
- Use Collection export (.zip) to retain a backup for future import.
- Use Card Manager export (.csv) for an editable format.

Settle outstanding invoices with your finance team to ensure your account is fully closed.
