Using Guru in Microsoft Copilot
The Guru app for Microsoft Teams is also registered as an agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Ask Guru a question in Copilot Chat and get an answer from your Knowledge Agent, with sources, without leaving Microsoft 365.
Access RequiredGuru Access: Your organization needs the Guru app for Microsoft Teams installed, and you need to be signed in to Guru through the app. A Guru Admin or a user with a relevant custom role installs the app. Learn how to set up Guru's app for Microsoft Teams.

What Guru can do in Copilot
The Guru app package includes Guru's MCP connector, so Copilot experiences can call Guru tools directly.
- Copilot Chat. Guru can use read-only tools.
- Copilot Cowork. Guru can use the full set of tools.
Guru can also use tools you've already approved in Guru. Microsoft 365 Copilot doesn't have an in-line approval prompt, so anything that still needs approval in Guru won't run from Copilot.

NoteUsing Guru in Copilot Chat is different from the Microsoft Work IQ MCP source in Guru. Work IQ MCP lets a Guru Knowledge Agent reach into Microsoft 365 (such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint) from Guru, and it requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Using Guru in Copilot puts Guru inside Microsoft's experiences.
