Setting up Help Scout as a Source
Connecting Help Scout makes it easy to power Guru's AI with your customer support knowledge. Learn how to connect your Help Scout account and turn existing tickets into searchable resources.
Access RequiredGuru Access: You need to be an Admin, Source Creator, or relevant custom role to set up Sources
Help Scout Access: You must be an Admin in Help Scout to connect as a Source.
Setting Up Help Scout as a Source
- In Guru, go to Manage.
- Select Sources, then click Add Source.
- Choose Help Scout from the list of integrations.
- Grant Guru permission to access your Help Scout data.
- Configure selective sync filters (optional):
- Filter by Date Modified to sync tickets from a specific time period.
- Authenticate using your Help Scout account credentials.
- Grant Guru permission to access your Help Scout data.
- Add a display name for the Source (optional) and click Connect Source.
- Assign which Guru Groups should have access to this content.
Objects synced from Help Scout

- When you connect Help Scout as a source in Guru, you'll permission that content in Guru. Learn more here.
- If someone is not provided with access in Guru to this source, they will not see Help Scout results in searches or when chatting with Guru.
