Access Required

Guru Access: You need to be an Admin, Source Creator, or relevant custom role to set up Sources

Help Scout Access: You must be an Admin in Help Scout to connect as a Source.


Setting Up Help Scout as a Source

  1. In Guru, go to Manage.
  2. Select Sources, then click Add Source.
  3. Choose Help Scout from the list of integrations.
  4. Grant Guru permission to access your Help Scout data.
  5. Configure selective sync filters (optional):
    • Filter by Date Modified to sync tickets from a specific time period.
  6. Authenticate using your Help Scout account credentials.
  7. Grant Guru permission to access your Help Scout data.
  8. Add a display name for the Source (optional) and click Connect Source.
  9. Assign which Guru Groups should have access to this content.

The initial sync may take from a few hours up to several days depending on the volume of tickets.
