Setting Up Sharefile as a Source

Guru Access: You need to be an Admin, Source Creator, or relevant custom role to set up Sources

ShareFile Access: The authenticating user must have access to the ShareFile workspace and associated folders and files. OAuth2 authentication is used for secure connection.

Setting up ShareFile as a source

1. In Guru, go to Manage.
2. Select Sources, then click Add Source.
3. Choose ShareFile from the list of integrations.
4. Authenticate using your ShareFile account credentials via OAuth2.
   1. Go to the ShareFile API Keys page
   2. Click "Create New" to create a new app
   3. Set the Redirect URI to: https://oauth2.integrations.getguru.com/callback
   4. Save your app and then use the generated Client ID and Client Secret in the fields in Guru.
5. Because Sharefile uses OAuth2 for authentication it inherits native permissions from ShareFile.
6. Add a display name for the Source (optional) and click Connect Source..

Guru pulls files from your ShareFile workspace to power Answers. It uses OAuth2 for authentication, and inherits native permissions from ShareFile, so only content a user has access to will be included in search results.
