Editing Guru Cards

Guru's Card editor allows Collection owners and authors to better format their content so that the team can more easily identify key points and digest verified knowledge. The editor is also responsive to Markdown, enabling further text customization. Rich media, including images, files, and videos, can also be embedded in the body of a Card.

Linking Guru Cards

  1. Click the Guru image icon located in the Card editor toolbar or type the slash ("/") command and type or scroll to select Guru Card
  2. In the Select Card dialogue that appears, enter search terms for the Card to which you’d like to link to and select it from the dropdown list.
  3. You have successfully linked to a Guru Card when the "G" icon appears to the right of the Card title or hyperlinked words and the color of the text is green.

How to tell which Cards link to a given Card

  1. Open the Card and navigate to the ellipsis "â‹Ż" icon and click Card details.

  2. From the Card details page, click the Cards that link to this Card tab.

  3. Here, you can see which (if any) Cards link to the Card you are viewing. You’ll be able to see the Card title of all Cards you have access to, but for Cards you don’t have access to, the titles will be hidden. If no Card links exist on the Card, you’ll see a "No Links" image.

    1. Before updating a Card's title or archiving a Card, it’s a good idea to check how many Cards link to that Card so that you can understand the impact. Archiving a Card that is linked to other Cards will break those hyperlinks.

What happens if I link to a Card that a user doesn't have access to?You can link to Cards across your workspace's Collections, but only users who have access to the Collection will be able to access that knowledge. If a teammate who does not have access to the Card clicks the link, they will see a message indicating that they do not have access to that Card. They should contact their Guru workspace admin to request permission to the Card.
