Frequently Asked Questions about moving Cards and folders

Can Cards and folders live in multiple Collections?

No, a Card or folder can only exist in one Collection at a time. Here are some workarounds:

  • Bundle Cards in a dedicated Collection
Create a shared Collection containing commonly used Cards. Users with access to that Collection will see relevant Cards in search.

  • Convert a folder into its own Collection
If an entire folder needs to be reused elsewhere, consider making it a Collection to centralize access.

  • Use folder permissions
Apply folder-level permissions to share a specific folder with users who don’t have access to the full Collection.

  • Share Collections across workspaces
Use read-only shared Collections to grant visibility to teams across multiple Guru workspaces while maintaining independent content control.
