With Guru's verification engine, you and your team can be confident that information is accurate, up to date, and approved for use! You will be notified when your Cards are unverified, so you don't have to remember when to update the content.


❗Important

You must be an Author or Collection Owner to verify Cards, unverify Cards, and request verification of a Card.


Verifying a Card

In the web app:

  1. Click on My Tasks and then the Verification tab

  2. You will see all of the unverified Cards that you are the Verifier of

  3. You can sort by the different table columns to help you prioritize what Cards you want to Verify first

  4. If nothing needs to be updated in the Card, select Verify.

  5. If the Card requires modification, click the Card and then the pencil icon to edit. Once you've made your changes, press Save & Verify to both save your changes and verify the card in one-click.

In the Extension:

  1. Open the Guru extension.

  2. Click the bell icon to view My Tasks.

  3. Under Verification you will see all the Cards you need to verify.

  4. If nothing needs to be updated, select Verify.

  5. If the Card requires modification, click the Card and then the pencil icon to edit. Once you've made your changes, press Save & Verify to both save your changes and verify the card in one-click.

In Slack:

1. Begin a direct message with @guru.
2. Click Manage Tasks or type work task queue to begin completing tasks such as answering your outstanding questions and verifying Cards. This workflow allows you to complete tasks and perform corresponding actions in a sequential order:

3. The bot will suggest your Cards that need verification.

4. Click Verify if you approve of the content.

5. If the Card needs editing, or you don't want to verify it now, click Next item. The Card you skipped will surface the next time you work your task queue until it's verified.


✍️ Note

This method is unique in allowing your team to verify your Cards in a sequential task order. In addition, you can also set up a daily reminder to verify Cards in slack by typing in edit notifications in your DM with the Guru app in Slack.


Card status columns:

  • Days unverified - the number of days since the Card has been verified

  • Last verified - the most recent date you verified the Card

  • Popularity Score - the total number of times a Card has been viewed + copied + favorited

  • Reason - the reason the Card became unverified

Unverifying a Card

Users with Author or Collection owner Access to the Collection where a Card belongs can manually unverify a Card.

  1. Open the Card you wish to unverify in the Web App or the Extension.

  2. Select the Trust State icon.

  3. Click Unverify this Card.

  4. You can then select Request Verification. This will notify the Card's Verifier via email or Slack that you would like the Card to be verified.
